Mission: For Nova Scotia is to be a recognized world leader in producing innovative, environmentally responsible, safe food of impeccable quality.
Focus: Perennia Food and Agriculture Corporation is a provincial development agency with the mission to support growth, transformation and economic development in Nova Scotia’s agriculture, seafood, and food and beverage sectors.
Services: The agency offers a wide variety of resources to advance projects and provide assistance to food and agriculture entrepreneurs, including talent, publications, fact sheets, videos, labs and a commercial pilot plant. What You Need to Know: The Perennia Food and Beverage Innovation Centre is a 25,000-sq.-ft. green pilot processing facility for food and food-based product development, improvement and processing.
Notable News: The agency also offers a mobile bottling service for still wines and spirits, as well as a mobile filtration service. Its bottling trailer offers a product pump, loading tables, rinser and sparger, filling, capping or corking, labelling with sleeve application, and offloading table with a capacity of 1,500 bottles per hour.
