Something to Celebrate
July 30 is Food Day Canada! The day was created by Anita Stewart in 2003, and is intended to bring the country together to celebrate the delicious diversity of Canada’s ingredients, beverages and cuisine, while recognizing all the farmers, fishers, food companies, food researchers and restaurateurs that make it possible.
Looking for inspiration on how to celebrate Food Day Canada? Later this week we’ll reveal how CFIN staff will be celebrating the day cooking up regional recipes, or check out Food Day Canada’s map on chefs, retailers, restaurants and events commemorating the day. Tag yourself online with #FoodDayCanada, and let us know how you’ll be celebrating!
