- The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction has released a report recommending labels be added to alcoholic beverages that will include nutritional information, health warnings and the number of standard drink in each container. A four-week consultant process is also underway.
- Future Meat has launched the world’s first cultivated lamb product, which it says looks, cooks and tastes like conventional ground lamb.

3M recently released its 2022 State of Science Index, a global survey of consumer views about science. Some of its Canadian findings include:
- 91% of Canadians believe science is somewhat or very important to their everyday lives.
- 87% say they want to hear more from scientists and their work.
- 68% say they associate Canada with innovation in science and technology.
- 56% say they associate Canada with leadership in scientific advancements for sustainability, renewable energy or sustainable materials.
- 56% believe artificial intelligence is an exciting technology that impacts their everyday life.
- 55% said they would accept a ride in a self-driving car.
- 68% said they are more worried about environmental issues than they were a year ago.
