CFIN is partnering with the Canadian Institute of Food Science & Technology (CIFST) to present CIFST ALT on September 28, 2022 at the Delta Toronto Airport Hotel & Convention Centre.
CFIN CEO Joe Lake will be delivering the keynote address during the event, discussing how the non-profit organization is facilitating connections and communication between food and beverage companies, while stimulating transformative technological change across the industry.
Here’s a sneak preview of what to expect during the presentation:
- Canada’s food industry is heavily fragmented
Although the food industry is Canada’s second largest manufacturing industry -- generating more than $112 billion in production value annually -- the industry is extremely segmented between manufacturing, foodservice and grocery sectors, and between regions of Canada. As a result, opportunities for collaboration, learning and growth are often missed.
- YODL is helping connect the food industry
Joe will peel back the curtain on YODL and reveal key data points that show how the newly launched platform is helping CFIN Members connect, discuss challenges, and find potential business partners.
- Collaboration is key
Joe will present his top five tips for F&B operators to improve collaboration. One of these five tips (‘Adjust Your Attitude’), will dive into why operators need to change their mindset and eliminate pre-conceived notions in order to increase their innovation capacity and grow their business.
We look forward to seeing you next week at CIFST ALT! If you don’t have a ticket yet, you can get one here.
