Something to Celebrate
August 5 is International Beer Day! Since its kickoff in California in 2007 the celebration has grown to include events in 80 countries and 207 cities. As well as commemorating all things beer, the day recognizes brewers, bartenders and servers.
Food Facts
Beer is the number-one alcoholic preference among Canadians, so it shouldn’t be surprising that a Statista survey shows there were 830 licenced breweries in Canada as of December 2021: 263 in Ontario, 185 in BC, and 146 in Quebec, 89 in Alberta, 49 in Nova Scotia; 32 in New Brunswick, 20 in Saskatchewan, 19 in Manitoba, 15 in Newfoundland and Labrador, eight in PEI, three in Yukon, and one in Nunavut.
