Nestor Gomez, CFIN’s Chief Technology Officer, recently caught up with Laura Richard, COO and co-founder of Douglas, NB-based Saltwinds Coffee Company, during the 2023 InnovateNB Awards.
Saltwinds produces unique tasting coffee roasted using carbon-friendly techniques. The company received funding through CFIN’s Food Innovation Challenge to help create its carbon capture system that can be used in the exhaust flue of a roaster, capturing the CO2 that is emitted when coffee beans are roasted.
Here they discuss the company and what it has been up to in the past year since receiving funding.
