A lot of material comes across our desks at CFIN, and we love to share new information with YODLers! This one in a series of articles highlighting what CFIN staff are reading, listening to, watching, and posting. Here’s CFIN’s program specialist, Jaleh Sasani.
What are you listening to?
I love anything and everything TED Talks. I’ve been listening to TED Talks Daily podcasts and came across an interesting episode by Phnam Bagley called Gourmet food for the final frontier, which is on theme with the book I’m reading. What is the next generation of space food? How do we get to Mars (or deep space) while eating Michelin star food?
My watching habits are guided by my three-year-old, who is currently into everything space related. We are enjoying all kinds of videos and cartoons about planets, galaxies, stars, and what it would be like if you were to try running on every planet. We also watch Octonauts and Numberblocks on repeat!
What are you posting about?
I recently posted on YODL about the federal government’s announcement of Canada’s next agricultural policy framework. The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP) is a new $3.5-billion, five-year agreement (April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2028), between the federal, provincial and territorial governments to strengthen the competitiveness, innovation, and resiliency of the agriculture, agri-food and agri-based products sector.
