Something to Celebrate
November 28 is National French Toast Day! French toast makes a cheap and delicious meal at any time of the day, and can be customized with an endless number of toppings. Best of all, making French toast helps divert stale bread from becoming food waste. The recipe isn’t French, however, and instead dates as far back as the 5th century BCE. Since then, unique versions of the egg and milk-based treat have continued to appear around the world.
