A new study from Capterra reveals that Canadians believe in sustainable habits, and want to support businesses that have circular economies. In fact, 87% said they would rather buy products from companies with circular economy practices than from one that does not. The survey also asked consumers what sustainable habits they participate in. Here’s what it found:
- 79% separate their waste and recycling
- 78% bring reusable bags to stores
- 26% usually buy in bulk; 53% sometimes do
- 20% usually buy local products; 55% sometimes do
- 27% are aware of food waste apps, but only 7% use them
- 30% would definitely spend money at a business with anti-food waste measures; 51% said they might patronize such a business if it was convenient
