Something to Celebrate

July 19 is national daiquiri day. The original Cuban cocktail made with rum, sugar, lemon or lime juice, and served over ice, was concocted in 1891 by an American engineer in the mining town of Daiquiri, Cuba. Today there are a multitude of popular variations on the classic cocktail, including the ubiquitous frozen daiquiri.
