Something to Celebrate 

July 4 is independence from meat day around the world, which began as a way for vegetarian groups to raise awareness of the benefits of eating a meat-free diet. 

 

A 2020 Statista survey showed that there are 2.3 million Canadians are vegetarians, while 850,000 Canadians follow a vegan diet. The researcher expects Canadian retail sales of meat substitutes to reach approximately US $226.7 million in 2022, compared to $119.9 million in 2015.

The NPD Group/CREST recently revealed how Canadians eating habits have changed in the past two years. Here are consumer’s most loved restaurant menu items today:
