June 24 is the Seventh Annual National Food Truck Day, celebrating the more than 35,000 entrepreneurs who own and operate food trucks across Canada and the U.S. The food truck industry was estimated to be worth $1.16 billion as of 2021, and has grown at an average rate of 12.1 per cent since 2016. Consumers aged 25 to 44 account for 43 per cent of food truck spending, with those aged 18 to 34 more likely to frequent food trucks.
