Students in the Culinary Management program receive training in both contemporary culinary techniques and essential management skills. The program offers a diverse learning experience, covering everything from the art of liquid nitrogen cooking to the intricacies of buffet work, pastry arts, restaurant food production, and even the delicate craft of ice carving.
In the first semester, you’ll delve into the fundamentals of food preparation, baking for cooks, and learn crucial aspects of sanitation and safety. The second semester advances your learning with courses in cost control, introduction to foodservice, pastry arts, restaurant food production, and an introduction to the world of wines. The third and fourth semesters elevate your skills with applied a la carte cooking, international contemporary cuisine, garde manger/culinary display, business development, and the foundation of food and wine pairing. There is also a Study Abroad option in Ireland for students seeking international exposure.
Career opportunities for graduates are as varied as they are exciting.
