Innovation Booster Call for Proposals: Digital Transformation and Automation in Food

For this April 4 – May 11, 2022 Intake for our Innovation Booster, CFIN is targeting innovative projects that advance a hardware and/or software solution for the food sector. Projects must address opportunities or challenges anywhere from post-farm gate to the consumer’s plate. The innovative technology needs to integrate digital solutions or automation to be eligible.

What does digitization mean? Digitization refers to the process of making information available and accessible in a digital form.

What does digitalization mean? Digitalization is the act of making processes more automated through the use of digital technologies.

What does digital transformation mean? Digital transformation is the process of devising new business applications that integrate digitized data and digitalized applications.

What does automation mean? Automation describes a wide range of technologies that reduce human intervention in processes.

What kind of projects could be eligible? The research, development, and demonstration of IoT, data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, sensors, vision systems, augmented reality, virtual reality, digital twins, and other software and/or hardware enabled solutions are great examples of eligible projects.
