This 1.5-day summit will bring together up to 200 Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders in the agribusiness sector to generate collaboration and inclusion, discuss opportunities, and gather data to assess program needs in relation to interests and requirements of First Nations and agriculture sector partners.
It is the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies' (SIIT) hope that by hosting this summit, SIIT will be able to gather the resources available (i.e., land) and the tools needed (i.e., expertise, access to markets) to support indigenous participation in the sector, from production to marketing.
